Cookie Notice

Cookie Notice

This notice explains cookies and similar browser storage in relation to PokerWebsites.co.uk, including the difference between the website’s application code, hosting infrastructure and independent operator websites.

What cookies and similar technologies do

Cookies are small pieces of information that a website or service asks a browser to store and return with later requests. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage. These technologies can support functions such as security, sign-in, remembering preferences or measuring visits, but their purpose depends on the specific service using them.

A first-party cookie is associated with the website domain you visit. A cookie associated with a different domain is commonly described as third-party. Whether a cookie is first-party does not by itself determine whether consent is required.

The current website application

The current public PokerWebsites.co.uk application does not set analytics, advertising, account-login or preference cookies. It does not embed advertising pixels or session-replay scripts. Its poker calculator inputs are not saved in local storage or session storage by the current tool code.

There is no visitor account system, shopping basket, newsletter sign-up or online contact form on this website. Email links open your chosen email application rather than submitting a website form. These statements describe the public website application, not every technical function performed by its hosting infrastructure.

Hosting-layer identifiers

The hosting services used to deliver the website can set or process technical identifiers independently of the site’s own JavaScript. A cookie named GAESA has been observed in responses from the live hosting layer. It is not created by our poker calculators or used by our application as a visitor analytics identifier.

The hosting provider controls that cookie’s issuance and expiry. You can inspect the cookies currently held for this domain, including their expiry dates, in your browser’s site-data settings. Do not assume that an application with no analytics script will produce no cookies at all when it is served through hosting infrastructure.

Independent poker websites and affiliate links

Our comparison buttons may lead to poker operators through local /go/ redirect addresses. The redirect does not itself run an advertising-tracking script in our application. Once your browser reaches the independent operator, that website may set cookies or process referral and affiliate information under its own policies.

We do not control another website’s cookies, preference panel or account tracking. Read its cookie notice and make your choices there. A choice made on this website does not automatically apply to an operator, and blocking a cookie in one browser does not apply the same setting to all your devices.

Consent and future features

We have not added a consent banner that claims to enable or disable trackers which the application does not use. If optional analytics, advertising or similar technology is introduced, it must first be assessed against the consent and information requirements that apply. Any required choice must work before optional technology starts.

Reading the website, opening this notice or following an operator link is not treated by us as consent to a future optional tracking feature. This notice must be updated if the application’s use of cookies or similar storage changes.

How to manage browser storage

Most browsers let you view stored cookies, remove site data, block cookies or set different rules for particular websites. Look for Privacy, Cookies or Site data in your browser settings. The available controls and wording vary between Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge and other browsers.

Deleting or blocking technical cookies can affect the behaviour of services that depend on them. Your browser’s help pages explain its controls. Our Privacy Notice describes the wider handling of technical request information and email enquiries, which is separate from whether a cookie is stored on your device.

Questions about this notice

Use our Contact Us page or email info@pokerwebsites.co.uk if you have a question about cookies seen while visiting PokerWebsites.co.uk. If reporting a specific cookie, provide its name and the page concerned, but do not send its stored value because that value could contain a private identifier.

The date above identifies the current version of this notice. The browser’s current site-data list remains the best way to inspect exactly what is stored on your device at a particular time.
